Twin rooms
Five twin rooms with shared bathroom facilities on the corridor. For couples, travel buddies and work crews.
Provodín · Mácha Region · North Bohemia
A characterful village pub with a family-run guesthouse, a rich history and a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. Old-fashioned lodging – simple, clean and fairly priced – with good Czech beer and a warm, family welcome.
Dřevěnka isn’t a hotel with a reception desk. It’s a village pub with rooms upstairs, where the owners welcome you in person.
Motorcyclists have been coming here for years. The winding roads of the Mácha Region, Kokořínsko and the Lusatian Mountains start right outside – and in the evening, a beer under the pergola.
Cycle routes around Lake Mácha, the Hradčany rocks and Ralsko. After a long day in the saddle: a hot meal, a shower and a bed, no fuss.
The Provodín Rocks are right behind the village, Bezděz Castle within sight. A great base for walks and trips by train.
Accommodation for work teams at a very good price – for a few nights or longer. Contact us directly.
Our rooms are simple, but clean and cosy – in the spirit of the good old mountain huts, just with a warmer welcome. No needless luxury or frills – instead, practicality, honest prices and a family atmosphere.

Looking for a place for your staff working on assembly, construction or seasonal jobs around Česká Lípa, Doksy or Mladá Boleslav? We offer simple rooms at a very good price and hot meals in the pub downstairs.
Dřevěnka is first and foremost a pub – wood, a stove, old motorbikes on the walls and guests who keep coming back. Drop in for a beer even if you’re not staying with us.
In good weather we sit outside on the terrace under the pergola, with service through the hatch.
Provodín lies in the former Sudetenland. On a historic postcard our house is called Gasthof zur Nordbahn – the inn by the Northern Railway – and the village bears its German name Mickenhan, then a popular summer resort.
Today the long tradition of the village inn is carried on with heart by the family who run Dřevěnka: good beer, honest food and a friendly word for everyone who walks in.
Czech band Bordo shot the music video for “Tak tak” here – featuring our hosts Pavel and Jaruška.
Sandstone rocks, forests, ponds and castles – the Mácha Region is made for trips by car, motorbike, bicycle or on foot.
Phonolite rocks right above the village with views over the countryside.
Beaches in Doksy and Staré Splavy, swimming, boating and a promenade.
One of the finest Gothic castles in Bohemia, with views as far as Ještěd.
A sandstone rock town, forest tracks and the quiet of a former military area.
Rocky valleys, mushroom-shaped rocks and Kokořín Castle – a classic for cycling and motorbike trips.
The nearest town, with shops, an outdoor pool and the Lipý water castle.
